Hi My name is Siobhan Taylor, I am a 45 year old single mum of 2, an ITU nurse and, proudly, a member of the GB powerlifting team.I started lifting only 6 years ago following an injury at work, and now my hobby has taken me places I never imagined I would go.

Back in 2022, I travelled to New Zealand to represent England for the Commonwealth Championships and returned as Commonwealth Champion. Then, in 2023, I took up Equipped Bench and became British Champion. I was subsequently selected to join team GB for the European Championship and won that title too!

I have been selected to represent Great Britain once again, and I am asking for your help to get me to Texas in May 2024 for the World Championships and my shot at becoming a World Champion.

Powerlifting is a self-funded sport, and despite representing my country, there is no sponsorship as it is not an olympic sport (yet). The funds raised will cover travel, competition fees, doping fees and sports specific insurance. I will be covering everything else (uniform, food and hotel etc) myself.
