Single mom surgery recovery cancer scare

I have revised this page to reflect current circumstances. Initially, I was asking for help for my daughter and myself to help us rebuild after the loss of my mother, who was helping me raise her. After a very courageous 6 month battle, we lost my mother suddenly in December of 2024. Being her only caretaker during this time time and going through repeated caretaker burnout, I found myself in grief, financial crisis, and severe pain from a hernia which worsened as I cared for mom.

During medical tests, they found an 8cm complex cyst on my ovary. When I met with my doctor, she was highly concerned this may be ovarian cancer.
Blood antigen levels test results were high for ovarian cancer and I have many, if not all the symptoms. Now I had 2 surgeries I needed. Since the hernia caused severe pain and I was at high risk for intestinal strangulation, I had this surgery first.

Postponement of the surgery caused us to go more into debt as I did not have post op care. Finally, my father with his own health problems came to help me for a week. I am now a few weeks post-op and my functioning has improved. Although this is good news, I still have the 8 cm cyst on my ovary that may be cancerous. When I met with doctors they said that this surgery would be more invasive and recovery time would be longer. They also said that surgery is the only way to determine if there is cancer and if it has spread, in which case I will have to have one of my ovaries removed as well.

I SHOULD be planning and scheduling this surgery ASAP, but I find myself being unable to because of the financial position we are in. If I get this surgery now, I will not be able to pay utilities and rent and we will lose our apartment. I am trying to utilize whatever help I can during this time as I am still recovering from the first surgery and then will have to work as soon as possible in order to pay for basic necessities, food, medication, transportation, and bills. This is what I am asking for help with, especially in the few weeks ahead.

I am asking for anything you can give to help me during this health crisis and help my daughter have her strong and able bodied mommy back. Even $5 dollars is not too little. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I deeply appreciate any help for myself and my child that will prevent us from experiencing any more losses.

Have a blessed day and thank you to everyone who has already donated.
