Give Kids Social Emotional Learning-Simple Virtues

Donation protected
Hello, everybody!

My name is Sam McCollough, and I’m the Founder of Simple Virtues, where we design Positive Values Clothing and Gifts.

I’m on a mission to help teachers and parents get kids talking about positive values and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

Let me start with a story: My wife was wearing one of my “Heart Full of Virtues” T-shirts when we were out at a restaurant one day, and a guy ran up to us excitedly to ask where she had gotten that shirt! He said he was an elementary school teacher, and this would be great for talking to his students about Social Emotional Learning!

I’m friends with a couple of elementary school teachers that live in my building. They teach at West Gate Elementary in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Do you know how vital Social Emotional Learning is to these teachers, their kids, and the kids’ families?

It’s huge!

CASEL, the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning, says that
"Social & Emotional Learning Helps Students Achieve in School and Life"

We’ve all seen the sad events in the news recently involving school kids. I think we can all agree that our kids could benefit from more exposure to concepts like Kindness, Patience, Tolerance, Empathy, Forgiveness, Compassion, and Courage.

I’m trying to gift their school 300 Simple Virtues "Hearts" Collection T-shirts to give to the kids, their families, the teachers, and the staff.

These T-shirts promote positive values that help get kids talking about SEL.

Studies show that when kids are exposed to concepts at home, they're more prepared to learn about them when they're presented in school, so this helps the families talk about SEL, and it helps the teachers discuss SEL effectively at school, too. Win-win!!

The Heart Full of Virtues design includes 22 virtues inside a fun heart design.

The other three designs are the Peace Heart, Hearts Aloft, and HeartSteps.

All four designs have Max on the front, asking “What’s in Your Heart?”

Super-cute, right?

Giving these kids these T-shirts brings SEL home!

These tees are imported from Peru and made of super-soft, 100% Pima cotton.

They’re printed with environmentally safe, zero-touch fabric paint. It’s called “zero-touch” because the prints, after just a wash or two, become so soft to the touch that they feel just like the fabric of the shirt.

And, unlike direct-to-garment printing, these colors are vibrant and won’t fade, even after lots of washes.

Let’s give the kids and their teachers something nice.

Full disclosure: Simple Virtues is my company, but I am providing these shirts below wholesale.

I’m trying to raise $5,000 to make this happen before school starts back up so they can have the shirts waiting for them when they return to school after the summer break.

Let’s give the teachers and the kids a big boost this year. We all know how tough the past couple of years have been on all of us, and it’s been especially hard on school kids and their families, their teachers, and the whole school staff.

And, if I exceed my goal, I’ll keep this going for more kids at other schools!

Again, I’m Sam McCollough with Simple Virtues.

Thank you for reading, I hope you’ll give a little for my GoFundMe, and please like and share to keep it going!

Let’s do this!
