Children are a gift and a great blessing; so when you receive devastating news that a child has cancer your heart breaks and all you can think is what can I do to help? This is our reasoning for our reaching out for help.
Simon just turned 4 years old and recently was diagnosed with Brain (Medulloblastoma) cancer.
Simon is an older brother to his 9 month old sister and soon to be older brother to twin siblings due June, 2018.
Simon loves dinosaurs, swimming and playing outside.
On March 19, 2018 Simon underwent surgery to remove a mass on the back of his brain. Once the mass was removed the family was informed that it was cancerous. Since then, Simon has had surgery to put a G tube in for feedings if needed as well as a port in so he can receive chemotherapy over approximately the next 6 months. As of now, they have started midway round 1 of chemo which he seems to be responding alright to.
Due to mom (Samantha) being with Simon in the hospital she is unable to work and dad (Tyler) is home looking after their 9 month old. The family is very appreciative for the love and support they have already received; however, with the cost of gas, food and lodging as well as extra expenses at this time we are hoping to raise enough money to relieve some of the financial stress during this stressful time.
