Joella should have been a cat mom years ago. She’s gone through so much in the last 4 years. Through it all, she’s always taken great care of her friends’ fur babies (and of her friends) dropping everything to make sure they’re happy. The time never seemed right for her to make sure she was happy. Then along came Simon. Simon was a social street cat who was captured, fixed and adopted. But his first dad couldn’t keep him. Call it fate or Facebook, but Joella and Simon met and it was love at first sight. He instantly jumped on her lap to cuddle. She soon brought him home, and everyone melted over him. He is the BEST kitty.

Earlier this week, Joella noticed Simon acting odd and trying to urinate but without anything happening. Joella was advised to bring him to the ER immediately under the suspicion of a life-threatening blockage. After pain meds and sedation, the vet ran some tests to confirm the stress-induced blockage. Intervention had to quickly be taken or Simon would very soon die. Joella didn’t hesitate, but neither did the vet bills. We hope Simon comes home tomorrow, but a very hefty vet bill will as well.
