Hi everyone! We are asking for some assistance in helping us get our buddy Simba a very important surgery this week. The past few months have been draining emotionally, physically and monetarily, and all we want is to do everything possible to extend Simba’s life.

Back in May we had his regular vet visit, where it was discovered he had a bit of a mass under his rib cage. Initially, we were told that it could be a fatty mass, or possibly an enlarged gallbladder to be fixed with medication, but we went to get an ultrasound to make absolute certain what it was.

The discovery of that mass led to blood work, shots, the aforementioned ultrasound, more testing, and now ultimately, a surgery.

Simba is an excellent candidate for surgery and has literally nothing else wrong with him, per every doctor he has seen. The alternative to no surgery is a continued enlargement of the mass, giving him weeks to months at most. After surgery, his life could be extended by several years.

We are devastated at what is happening and this is our only shot. Simba is our baby, the light of our life, the best boy and deserves a shot to keep bringing his family all the joy and love.

Simba is officially having surgery to attempt to remove the mass from his liver on Tuesday, July 28th.

The funds raised will help cover his surgery costs and post-surgical needs, giving him the best chance at recovery. We are also hoping to give a donation to an animal shelter with extra money that may be left after our incurred costs.

We are asking for help from friends, family, and our community to rally around Simba and give him the opportunity to keep bringing happiness and love to our lives.
