Simba's journey

Donation protected
Update : October 2025
It is with the deepest of sorrow that, following Simba’s specialist consultation, the extent of his internal condition meant the very hard decision was made to honour his dignity and put him to rest.

All funds raised through these recent efforts have been passed to his devoted foster carers, Julia and Glen, who lovingly supported Simba and funded his treatment from their own pockets. We hope this helps ease some of the financial burden they carried while giving Simba the care and comfort he deserved.

His legacy lives on in every act of kindness shared in his name.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone involved.

As many of you know, our beautiful boy Simba left OSPA on 11th June 2025, embarking on the next chapter of his life in the UK.

Since arriving in the UK, Simba has had numerous vet appointments and further to investigations and a CT scan, it was revealed that Simba has a congenitally deformed ear! With no ear canal on the left and a very narrow one on the right, this has explained why treatments so far in Sal had been ineffective. He has since been prescribed long-term antibiotics and steroids.

In relation to his eye wound, a recent biopsy shows lymphoplasmacytic dermatitis, which likely means referral to a dermatology specialist!

And so his journey continues!

Our heartfelt thanks go to Julia and Glen—for their unwavering love, dedication, and ongoing support for our OSPA dogs in the UK once again.

We will keep you updated on Simba’s progress, and thank you to everyone who has been part of his journey. His resilience is inspiring, and we are determined to give him the bright future he deserves!

To further add, Julia and Glen have personally taken on the full financial responsibility for Simba’s journey and care, an incredibly selfless act of kindness and dedication.

We would love to help support them and Simba in his onward health journey in ensuring he gets the best possible care.

If you would like to show your gratitude and support, please consider donating to Simba’s recovery here.

Thank you so much for all of us at OSPA.
