I wish that the worlds current state were all of my worries but it's not even close.
Every minute of the day I think about what my Sickle Cell has done to me. Nothing can prepare you to have a damaged Brain. A damaged Liver and a damaged Soul.
PLEASE help me find a way to heal. And a way to prevent the next Sickler from telling his or her family that after all the years of pain, years of blood transfusions, surgeries, hospitalizations, transplants and years of being mistreated when you should of been heard..that its catching up to you. That you are scared and you feel alone.
I want to know is there an answer? Is there a way? Did Western Medicine FAIL me? Did years of having a lack of resources and funds put us behind?
Maybe we were looking the wrong way reading the wrong books. So my journey includes medicinal herbs, acupuncture, heated therapy....
