The Boston Showstoppers is a non-profit organization fueled by the energy and passion of so many dedicated volunteers. Our purpose is to provide our female student-athletes with opportunities to discover they are so much more than they ever imagined themselves to be and we achieve our purpose by offering a highly competitive basketball experience; by encouraging and supporting academic excellence; and by nurturing a culture of sisterhood, service and well being.

We need your support for the Boston Showstoppers organization’s US Junior Nationals; College Showcase fundraising campaign efforts. We currently serve upwards of 150 girls from the Boston and greater Boston area with the core of our student-athletes residing in the inner city neighborhoods of Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan. Your tax-exempt donation will help support a number of our needs including covering the cost of travel and accommodations for our teams competing throughout the United States for National Championship titles this summer.

The growth and success of our program is a reflection of how hard all of our student-athletes have worked both individually and together as teammates. On the court, the Boston Showstoppers have won 2 National Championships as well as many local and regional tournament championships. Off the court, academic achievements are equally impressive. Our elementary and middle school student athletes have earned accolades such as Citizenship Awards, and Honor Roll to name a few. In our past 3 years of graduating classes we’ve had 24 Alumni with a 100% matriculation rate to college and 17 Alumnae to date playing varsity basketball at D1, D2, D3 and JuCo, colleges & universities. Our current 2016 class includes 10 graduating seniors all of whom will matriculate to college. The Showstopper class of 2016 has a cumulative GPA of 3.43 and six seniors will be playing and/or received full 4-year Division-1 athletic scholarships, (URI, Farleigh Dickinson, South Carolina, IPFW, Temple, UMass Lowell). Our c/o of 2017 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of 3.65 and we have 20+ student-athletes being recruited by schools in the SEC, ACC, IVY, A-10, AAC, MAC, CAA, Patriot League and America East.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by June 31. Your much appreciated donation will not just help pay expenses, but will ensure that every Showstopper has an opportunity to discover their own inner greatness.
