Shoshana’s recovery fund
Donation protected
This summer, my sister Shoshana, her two daughters, her twin Raizel and four of Raizel's kids embarked on a road trip through the middle of the United States, visiting national monuments and historic sites.
While in Texas on 7-21-2019, the car flipped over the median and Shoshana was seriously injured. She broke her spine (L1) and her ankle. She was taken to a hospital in Odessa, Texas, where she has undergone multiple surgeries and will need more surgeries. Thankfully Raizel and the kids were all okay. Bruised and battered, but okay.
Anyone who knows Shoshana knows that she would do anything for anyone. She helps friends and strangers alike and the word "no" is not in her vocabulary when it comes to someone in need.
Now it's our turn to help her.
Shoshana is a nursery school teacher in a day school in Las Vegas. She and her husband have three teenagers and Shoshana is the primary breadwinner in the family.
Because of this accident, Shoshana is not only going to be faced with a monumental amount of hospital bills, but she also will need a way for she and her family to live while she recuperates and is unable to work. Any donation will help.
Let's show Shoshana that everything she does for others is not unnoticed. Let's give back to this woman who gives everything to others. Let's help her husband and children and her get through this next year without having to worry about bills and medical expenses.
Her family appreciates it.
We've also set up an email [email redacted] if you want to send your well-wishes for recovery at this time or would like to know other ways to help or donate.
I (her sister Rochel Leah) will try to update people with Shoshana's recovery as much as possible.
Thank you.
UPDATE: In order for there to be full disclosure, Rabbi Shea Harlig will be taking charge of the funds and distributing them to the various bills that Shoshana will have to pay. Our family has been friends with the Harlig’s for years and trust him implicitly with this delicate task. By agreeing to handle the finances, Rabbi Harlig has relieved Shoshana and her family from having to worry about this aspect of her recovery. We’re very lucky that Rabbi Harlig and his family have stood by my family for so many years and continue to help us whenever possible.
