My name is Tom and I am Lana’s friend. I have decided to start a GoFund me account with Lana’s permission. My hope is that we can all come together to alleviate some of the financial hardships Lana and her family are facing in the foreseeable future.

Shirley Jean, 61, collapsed due to cardiac arrest while at the library in Omaha Nebraska June 30th and has been on life support since.

Yesterday July 3rd, Lana and her family received news from Shirley’s doctor, that the swelling on her brain was severe and that there has been no brain activity.

Lana’s mother had been staying in a homeless shelter in the city of Omaha. She has no insurance. I am asking for donations to help with medical expenses, bills, possible funeral costs or whatever financial costs might be needed.
