Hi Everyone!

For many of us, who truly knows Shelby, he can be somewhat private and prides himself on being independent.

He is unaware that I’m doing this for him but so many family members and dear friends of his have reached out to me asking if the family was taking donations towards his medical costs and personal expenses.  As a result, I decided to take the next step and set up a Go Fund Me account for him.  

On June 27th, Shelby was found unconscious in his car. He was rushed to INOVA Alexandria hospital where he wasn’t responding. Over the next (3) days while in ICU, Shelby fought for his life as doctors and nurses worked on him diligently.

 Family and friends prayed for Shelby day and night. God heard and answered our prayers. On the 4th day, Shelby started moving his body and opened his eyes.  

The days following, Shelby’s health and memory continued to improve. He was back to being the Shelby we all know and love.

The doctors discovered two days ago that Shelby’s heart suffered damage. As a result, he had a successful surgery to help improve his heart.

Shelby has a long road ahead of him. We don’t know how long he will be in the hospital and out of work.

He is eager to get back on the tennis court but in the meantime, I’m hoping this Go Fund Me account will help ease some of his stress.

The goal is set at $10,000 but any amount helps.
