Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our story.
A few months ago my already disable wife Sheila was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. My wife has never smoked a day in her life. Well we took the diagnoses in stride and began a strenuous, aggressive Chemo and Radiation treatment regimen. As soon as she finished with this round of treatments her body started breaking down; low potassium and magnesium, kidney failure, lung collapsing and so on and so on. Total days in the hospital so far are 18 days and counting, including a recent trip to Stanford Hospital to do a special procedure. Thank God for health insurance that covers most but not all of our bills.
Through these past few months I have been right by Sheila’s side as her husband, best friend, her caretaker and largest supporter. Unfortunately I have not been able to work and earn an income. I have been able to sell a few of our personal items but we are running out of stuff. The rent is due, the bills are growing and the electronic phone calls are nonstop. Please if you can see it in your heart to help us get through this time right now, any amount would be so greatly appreciated.
This fund raiser is needed just until my wife’s health stabilizes. After that I can get back to work as I am an independent contractor (driver) and I can start work at any time.
Thanks in advance for your help, and if you can’t help I wish the best for you and your family also.
Happy New Years!
