Our beloved Shea was a 29-year-old woman who tragically lost her life from pregnancy complications that started on Valentine’s Day 2016. She was the mother of three beautiful children. Until Valentine’s Day, her fourth child, "Valentina Shea”, was born.
Since Shea’s passing, there has been much uncertainty, compounded by the broken hearts of her four young children, her siblings, and her parents, who all now have to face the reality of her unexpected death and the responsibilities of caring for her four young children, medical costs and the costs associated with funereal arrangements.

The heroic efforts of the first responders on Valentine’s Day, gave the medical staff the precious time needed to perform an emergency C-section on Shea to save the life of her youngest child, Valentina Shea, who was not expected to make her debut until April. The baby lost a lot of oxygen during Shea’s medical emergency, and now faces many more medical concerns of her own that include, possible developmental issues, and increased likelihood that she will have to live with cerebral palsy. Valentina Shea will remain hospitalized for an unknown length of time, and in addition to your financial gift, she is in need of your prayers.

This go fund me page is being created to help offset the costs associated with Valentina Shea’s medical care, until coverage can be established (hers expired when Shea passed away), and also to help with Shea’s final expenses.
Shea had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off of her back for anyone in need. She had a grace and genuine kindness that she poured into her career as a Certified Nurses Assistant, her family and her neighborhood.
Shea knew all to well the struggles of todays society, but consistently maintained a positive outlook on life, exuding love, and always maintaining her faith and continued belief in the power of prayer. Shea was a caregiver by nature in her personal life and also pursued the health care field professionally. All those who she came into contact with will be the legacy she will forever be remembered for.
Shea’s radiant personality was truly one of Gods gift to the world and her loss will affect many people.
Shea was put on life support upon arrival to the ER and was surrounded by her loving family the next three days and in her final moments.
Shea was a registered organ donor and was able to donate to a transplant recipient who was quickly prepped at a near by facility. From her last breath she remained true to who she’s always been and who we all knew her to be, a giver.
We thank you for sharing this story and making your contribution to help assist our family in this turbulent heart breaking time.
