“She Went Into The Woods,” is a 90 minute action horror feature film created by horror fans, for horror fans!

The film follows Zoe and her friends as they attempt to survive a bloodthirsty creature that has left them stranded at a‬ cabin in the woods. All seems hopeless until a mysterious woman; Alice, arrives thirsty for revenge against the monster that murdered her son.

Will Alice choose to help Zoe and her‬ friends or will they get in the way of Alice's quest for vengeance?‬

But, at the heart of it all, the movie's themes are about rediscovering who you are after the world robs you of what matters most.

We’re a team of passionate young filmmakers, who have spent the last year developing our first feature film. We are excited to finally get this movie off the page and onto the screen, but we can’t do it without your help!

With 10k, not only could we afford to feed our dedicated thirty person crew, but we could also cover the following:

Insurance to ensure the safety of our equipment, crew members, and the public.
The cost of booking locations and transportation costs.
Fund our art department with enough financial support to buy the materials needed to make props and set designs that preserve the quality of this production.

You may be wondering why our fundraiser is set to a goal of 30k, knowing that this movie could be made in less? Well, with our dream budget of 30k we could pay our talented team of passionate artists for all their hard work. Any remaining funds will be distributed among each department to further enhance the finished product. We believe that with big goals come big accomplishments, one that we hope you will consider being apart of.

The story of the film comes from the mind of our director, Gryffin Morgan. Tired of slasher films without meaningful conflict, he set out to create something where characters make decisions based on their beliefs and morals, rather than simply being afraid of some spooky creature.

Gryffin has been making short films since the ripe age of seven years old, collecting a variety of filmmaking accomplishments. In 2022, he won the Top Senior Editing award and Top Experimental/Alternative film awards at the BC Student film festival.

Through the collaboration of Gryffin and his good friend and talented writer, Isaac Reid, this innovative take on what horror can be is almost ready to come to life. Investing in this movie means investing in the tension, thrill, spookiness, and tremendously action packed confrontational adventure set in the beautiful woods of British Columbia.

Majority of the crew is made up of current and graduated students of the Motion Picture Arts Program at Capilano University. A program known for fine tuning students dedication to their craft and their love for film into a professional career in the film industry.

Our actors are primarily a mix of exceptional Capilano students in the Acting For Stage and Screen program, as well as the UBCP acting union.
