Shawn's Journey to Recovery

As many of you know, and as many as you have yet made aware, on June 28, 2016 at approx. 3am while coming home on the Cajon pass Shawn was side swiped by a hit and run driver and pushed against the center divider, a good Samaritan came to his aid, while attempt to assist in Shawn's aid, another driver obviously focused on the crash managed to tee-bone Shawn at 70mph slamming him back into the wall and causing extreme damage to Shawn and the car. Shawn did loose consciousness, when he awoke he had been transported to Loma Linda Hospital. Shawn suffered from a left broken leg with multiple mini fractures, his meniscus was shattered and he now has pins and rods to he leg. His left ribs were severely bruised, as well has having approx. 13 fractures to his face/jaw. Shawn is now home and engaging if physical therapy 3xweek. He still is under doctors orders not to place any pressure/weight to his left leg. It been a long road, yet, he has a long way to go for his recovery is a minimum of a year, with possibility of additional surgeries. Its hard for us to ask for help and assistance, yet here we are. Between Shawn getting 1/2 of his normal work pay from disability, me having to take off multiple days off and paying caregivers to assist in taking Shawn to his physical therapies and multiple trips to his doctors at Loma Linda and the joy of medical bills, we have come into financial hardship. I am attempting to pick up extra hours at work to help make ends meet, but its just does not seem to be enough at the end of day. We humbling ask for even pennies to help. All your love, prayers and strength has been appreciated and we know that without those things Shawn would not be here with me now. Thank you so much for all your support.
