Shaving for Sunshine

Welcome to the gofundme page dedicated to Lola McCarthy who is taking on the amazing challenge to shave off her gorgeous long blonde locks in a brave fundraising effort for a special little boy close to her heart called Noah. Noah Dowie is a gorgeous & energetic young boy who is well loved in his local community but unfortunately is struck with DBA, full title: Diamond Blackfan Anemia. Whilst juggling Noahs medical condition, his support crew are financially trying to plan a trip to the USA so that he & his family can attend Camp Sunshine. Jet & Kristy along with Noah at Camp Sunshine will be in access with DBA specialists & meet with other DBA families. Welcome Little Lola... Lola has dedicated herself to the fundraising efforts by asking for donations to this fund by shaving her lovely long blonde locks. (As seen in the photo). Lola will be having the brave shave on May the 6th at 5pm with the support of her local sport club, Warrnambool Junior Basketball & being surround by the ones who love her most. We have set the bar at $1000 but would love to smash this total! Lolas hair will be removed by a representative from a local sustainable salon. Due to Lolas hair being what they call "virgin" (hair thats never been coloured or treated) her beautiful hair will become one of the 43,700 ponytails that are collected annually. The result in that her hair will then be made into one of the 2185 wigs for cancer & alopecia suffers.
