my name is shauni, and I was diagnosed with a rare endocrine disorder called Addison’s Disease which is also an autoimmune disease.

treatment is expensive as is, but I have ran into an issue of being able to afford the fees of being a new patient with a new endocrinologist I have found since the one I was seeing and who was managing my condition has retired as of Sept 2025.

Expenses include co-pay, traveling expenses (gas and one night stay), medication and lab fees.

It has reached a point my condition has worsened which also means it has put me in an financial bind, especially now because we have entered that time of the year where viral illnesses and such are spreading greatly. In two months alone I have became greatly ill TWICE, and each time I am sick, it takes more of a toll on my body and condition worsens a little more each time.

this is my last resort, and last hope. If I am unable to travel to OKC to see this new endocrinologist I am risking my health and even my life. No local doctor is comfortable managing my condition, especially at the severity that it is now… and our local endocrinology is not accepting new patients until further notice.
