Sharon Sommers - Alberta Transplant Institute

In lieu of flowers, the Sommers family is collecting donations for the Alberta Transplant Institute in memory of Sharon Sommers.

Sharon Anne Sommers passed away on April 14, 2023 after a month-long admission at the University of Alberta Hospital. In 2010, Sharon was fortunate to receive a life-changing Kidney Transplant after spending nearly 2 years undergoing renal dialysis treatments.

Sharon's family would like to thank the countless doctors, nurses, researchers, and various medical personnel who tended to Sharon over the last two decades and express deep gratitude to the Edmonton Renal Clinic and the Transplant Institute. The research and achievements in transplant medicine and patient care gave the gift of life to Sharon, and the gift of time spent with her to her family.
