The Gilbert’s have some exciting news they would like to share with you!
As some of you may know, Shannon has been on quite a journey trying to fix her neck and back issues for years.
A little backstory:
For the past seven years, and through the births of three children, Shannon has lived through sporadic excruciating pain. Pain that ripples up and down her spine, causing reactionary pain in her neck, arms, and head. She’s sometimes in bed for days at a time, enduring pain that makes it too hard to function normally.
She never knows when it will escalate, and unfortunately the numerous treatments and procedures have been a pain management Band-Aid to a much bigger mechanical issue along with escalating medical bills.
She has needed a breakthrough for a long-term fix for what is wrong. What we have learned through this discovery process is that all of her symptoms stem from an acute case of TMJD. Her best option for the most sophisticated work being done in this area of practice is by a world-renowned TMJ specialist Dr. Eddie Siman in Sherman Oaks CA.
Recently, we consulted with Dr. Siman who not only perfectly described Shannon’s symptoms, he knows why Shannon is going through it and how to HEAL HER. We have spent the last couple months researching the validity of this specific Dr. and treatment. Although it seems unorthodox , this is the right path, in fact this is the first time she’s had an actual diagnosis. After a comprehensive analysis, Shannon is a candidate for his treatment. This is HUGE!
It's an intensive/non-invasive treatment that, over the course of several months, will re-align her jaw, giving her body the ability to finally restore and heal.
The treatment is divided in two phases. The cost of the first phase is $9,800. The second phase will be $10,000 (all out of pocket, not covered by insurance). Our family finally found the treatment necessary to heal Shannon, but we’re out of resources to pay for it.
We are working hard to pay off Shannon's current medical debt, which is $8,200. Those bills and the first & second phase treatment totals $28,000. This is a significant expense so we’re reaching out to our community to see if YOU would be willing to support us in helping make this procedure a possibility. Asking for financial help is not something that comes easily for Shannon or I but we have been encouraged by multiple friends to do so and have decided to heed their advice.
