Shane is a very happy and funny 7 Year old, at 2 and a half years old Shane was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He had 4 operations and the tumour came back, he then had 3 more operations and 2 years of chemotherapy, his right side was very weak and he struggled with his speech but Shane finally got back to walking again!

 

Shane never complained about anything all he wanted to do was go to school, after chemotherapy Shane finally went to school (he started a year late) he made so many friends and was on the road to recovery! He was doing so well, but just recently after a routine scan we found out that Shane’s tumour was growing back; surgery and chemotherapy are out of the question as he is too young to undergo any more operations or treatment, the only option now is for Shane to go to America for 9 weeks of proton radiotherapy.
