I am reaching out to share the story of my remarkable cousin, Shana Newman Brown, who is currently facing an unimaginable challenge. At just 46 years old, Shana was diagnosed with aggressive stage two triple-negative breast cancer. This diagnosis has turned her world upside down, but through it all, she remains a beacon of strength and hope for her two children while continually inspiring everyone with her unwavering spirit. Shana’s journey began when she felt a lump in her breast, prompting her to seek medical advice. After a series of tests, a biopsy confirmed that she had an invasive carcinoma. The news of her diagnosis has been devastating not only for Shana but also for her family, placing significant emotional and financial strain on them. As a devoted mother, Shana has always put her children first, and now she is fighting with everything she has to ensure that she can continue to be there for them. Shana’s husband, Rodger, has worked tirelessly to cover the costs of her cancer treatment. However, the ongoing treatments, unexpected complications, side effects, and unplanned hospitalizations have resulted in mounting medical bills that have become overwhelming. It has been increasingly difficult for the family to keep up with these unexpected costs while Shana is trying to focus on her recovery. The road ahead remains challenging as Shana continues to require extensive medical treatment and ongoing care. With each stage of her journey to recovery, the financial burden continues to grow. Shana is a fighter, determined to face this battle head-on. She has shown incredible resilience and positivity, often reminding those around her of the importance of faith and community support during difficult times. We are inviting you to become part of Shana’s army as she fights to recover physically, emotionally, and financially. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Shana’s medical expenses. Every contribution, no matter how small, will profoundly impact her journey to recovery and remind her that she is not alone.
