Perché sto raccogliendo fondi?

I motivi sono tanti e diversi: so che questa pagina non può contenerli tutti, ma proverò a spiegarteli in breve:)

Uno riguarda un mio grande desiderio: permetterti, attraverso le mie pubblicazioni, di farti fare dei progressi verso la versione migliore di te. Verso ciò che ritieni gioia e felicità.

Un altro è connesso con il contenuto stesso di questa autobiografia: nella tradizione buddista tibetana i libri sono considerati dei Maestri, in grado di trasferire conoscenza e far nascere saggezza, di farci conoscere direttamente i più grandi Maestri, le cui storie di vita sono di grande ispirazione. Con questa autobiografia potrai conoscere direttamente Shabkar Tsokdruk Rangdrol (Amdo, Tibet 1781-1851) , considerato uno dei più grandi Yogi erranti, dopo Milarepa, ad aver raggiunto l'illuminazione in una sola vita. Prolifico scrittore e poeta eguagliato da pochi, nei suoi scritti traspaiono ideali non settari fra tenace autodisciplina intrisa di visione, contemplazione e umorismo, le sue opere hanno ispirato molti lettori e la sua stessa biografia è un insegnamento profondo, intimista, continuo pagina dopo pagina, per il praticante in cerca della realizzazione ultima.

Un altro ancora riguarda il motivo più ovvio, ma spesso poco raccontato: la pubblicazione di un testo sacro come questo richiede costi importanti, che una casa editrice come la mia, a volte non riesce a sostenere interamente.

Who will receive help thanks to the collection

I am the founder of Skypress Italia Edizioni, a small publishing house established with the purpose of supporting and popularizing the Dharma, the ancient teachings of the Buddha Shakyamuni, related to our ability to achieve ultimate happiness and liberation from all suffering.

I am asking for your help for a new Italian-language publication, "The Life of Shabkar THe Autobiography of a Tibetan Yogin" (The Life of Shabkar THe Autobiography of a Tibetan Yogin by Matthieu Ricard - Snow Lion 2001)

Why am I raising funds?

The reasons are many and varied-I know this page cannot contain them all, but I will try to explain them briefly :)

One concerns a great desire of mine: to enable you, through my publications, to make progress toward the best version of you. Toward what you consider joy and happiness.

Another is related to the very content of this autobiography: in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, books are considered to be Masters, able to transfer knowledge and give birth to wisdom, to introduce us directly to the greatest Masters, whose life stories are of great inspiration. With this autobiography you can get to know Shabkar Tsokdruk Rangdrol (Amdo, Tibet 1781-1851) , considered one of the greatest wandering Yogis, after Milarepa, to have attained enlightenment in a single lifetime. A prolific writer and poet matched by few, nonsectarian ideals shine through in his writings amid tenacious self-discipline steeped in vision, contemplation and humor, his works have inspired many readers, and his biography itself is a profound, intimate, continuous page-by-page teaching for the practitioner seeking ultimate fulfillment.

Yet another relates to the most obvious but often under-reported reason: publishing a sacred text such as this requires significant costs, which a publishing house such as mine sometimes cannot bear entirely.

Pourquoi est-ce que je collecte des fonds ?

Il y a beaucoup de raisons différentes : je sais que cette page ne peut pas toutes les contenir, mais je vais essayer de les expliquer brièvement :)

L'une concerne un grand désir de ma part : te permettre, à travers mes publications, de progresser vers la meilleure version de toi. Vers ce que tu considères comme la joie et le bonheur.

Une autre est liée au contenu même de cette autobiographie : dans la tradition bouddhiste tibétaine, les livres sont considérés comme des Maîtres, capables de transmettre la connaissance et de faire naître la sagesse, de nous faire connaître directement les plus grands Maîtres, dont les récits de vie sont d'une grande inspiration. Avec cette autobiographie, tu peux faire la connaissance directe de Shabkar Tsokdruk Rangdrol (Amdo, Tibet 1781-1851), considéré comme l'un des plus grands yogis errants, après Milarepa, à avoir atteint l'éveil en une seule vie. Écrivain et poète prolifique comme peu d'autres, ses idéaux non sectaires transparaissent dans ses écrits au milieu d'une autodiscipline tenace imprégnée de vision, de contemplation et d'humour. Ses œuvres ont inspiré de nombreux lecteurs et sa biographie elle-même est un enseignement profond et intimiste, qui se poursuit page après page, pour le pratiquant en quête de la réalisation ultime.

Une autre encore concerne la raison la plus évidente, mais souvent peu évoquée : la publication d'un texte sacré comme celui-ci nécessite des coûts importants, qu'une maison d'édition comme la mienne ne peut parfois pas supporter entièrement.
