Our friend and fellow martial artist, Sensei Tom Podgorski of Seven Dragons Chinese Kempo, is facing a significant health challenge. His medical team recently discovered he has a bicuspid aortic valve - a congenital heart condition present since birth - that now requires surgery in the near future.

For those unfamiliar, a bicuspid aortic valve is a structural defect where the heart valve formed with two leaflets instead of three.

This isn't the result of any lifestyle choices; it's simply something Tom was born with that has now progressed to the point where surgical intervention is necessary.

Tom has been a dedicated member of our martial arts community, and now it's our turn to step up for him. The funds raised will go toward medical expenses, recovery costs, and helping bridge any gaps while he's unable to work during his recovery period.
