Hello, my name is Andrew Zonneveld and I would like to ask for your help to get to London. Recently I was accepted in the Onslow Early College High School. OECHS is a partnership between Onslow County Schools and Coastal Carolina Community College. Through this program, in four years I will be able to graduate with an associate’s degree and my high school diploma. The early college program requires that the classes are honors or AP level courses. In continuing with advanced learning, the school is sponsoring a trip to London, a cultural hotspot full of historic sites and a time-tested tradition. The trip will take place June of 2019 and costs $3948 which covers airfare, food, a tour guide and entrance into all the museums and other attractions.
I have been raised by three amazing individuals that push me to better myself academically and personally. My father is a 100% disabled combat veteran. While serving in Iraq, he developed severe PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury. My mother is a wonderful and smart woman who couldn’t finish college for family reasons. She’s worked every day of her life and has provided a warm and loving home. My step-father came into my life and has been a tremendous inspiration; he is currently serving in the military. All my parents have done great things and I hope to continue the legacy of hard work and dedication they apply to their lives and work hard academically towards my goals.
Currently, my ultimate goal is to be the President of the United States. Acceptance into the OECHS was the first step to accomplishing my goals. Upon graduating from the OECHS I hope to attend the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill for a bachelor’s degree. I want to major in Criminal Justice and Government and minor in Business Administration and Economics or Philosophy. After UNC-Chapel Hill, I dream of attending Harvard Law School to continue furthering myself towards my end goal. When all my post-secondary education is complete I would like to serve as a JAG officer in the United States Air Force. Eventually, I would like to run for Congress, first in the House then the Senate. If the opportunity came up I would also like to be a Governor, then pursue the Presidency of the United States.
London would be an amazing trip and provide an experience that would be hard to replicate. With your support, you can help me pursue a dream of traveling internationally and experiencing London with my peers and classmates. I will be working part-time to raise money but would deeply appreciate any further assistance you can provide.
