Qasaonova and I are so excited to have qualified to represent the United States at the World Championships this August in Verden Germany! Our partnership really has blossomed in the short 8 months we've been together. I was out of the saddle for an entire year until I found this wonderful stallion. What a difference a year makes! I feel so blessed!
As you can imagine, the trek overseas and cost of living abroad for a month in preparation for Championships will not be cheap. Round trip airfare and ground transportation for Qasanova alone will total close to $17,000. Not to mention the additional expenses of stall rental, feed, hay, bedding, training, grooming and my own housing & food. The numbers add up quickly, an estimated $25,000 in expenses minimum. On top of this, I haven't begun to factor in my loss of income while I'm away.
In years past the USEF (United States Equestrian Federation) has provided some financial support to riders representing the USA in this Championship, however, this year is different, there is no financial support at all.
Like any athlete, I want to be focused on doing my best, making my country proud and not be stressed by external factors like funding. I hope you can join Qasanova and me by becoming part of our team. Help us be successful and allow us to better enjoy our journey! Every donation helps. If nothing else, join us in spirit!
