Send Emma to the School of New York Times

I recently was fortunate enough to be accepted to The New York Times Summer Academy 2020! This is something I have been dreaming about and looking forward to for the longest time and I'm beyond excited to have been accepted. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and once I started high school I began to love journalism. Attending the Summer Academy would not only help me improve my skills as a journalist, but teach me ways to support and efficiently run my school's newspaper, The Lafayette Times, as Co-Editor-in-Chief. Tuition and travel expenses are definitely not cheap, and financial aid only covers so much. Going to the Summer Academy would be an unforgettable experience and there may not be an opportunity for me to attend again. Anything and everything would beneficial!
