The Selma Mayhew Educational Scholarship Fund
UPDATE 1/27/2016:
Over the years Selma and I have traded stories of our families, so I knew that she was a proud grandmother. But I recently learned that one of Selma’s granddaughters is currently attending the CSU. I also learned that Selma was providing some financial support toward granddaughter’s higher ed. studies.
Selma's colleagues at CSU Northridge want to memorialize her by stepping in to help achieve what she dreamed of which is to support her granddaughter in finishing her education at the CSU. Her CSUN colleagues are exploring how to raise the amount that would be required to support a two year scholarship. In support of these efforts all of the contributions collected on this site will go toward the fund to continue and achieve Selma's dream of supporting her granddaughter to obtain her baccalaureate degree.
