Selena September is a dear friend who recently returned to China to work as a teacher. Not long after her arrival there, about 6 months ago, she was diagnosed with a bleeding tumor on one of her kidneys. If unresolved through surgery, she'll slowly bleed to death. The pain has been intense.

She isn't very confident in the surgeons in China and has arranged to get the surgery done in her husbands (Graham) country of South Africa, so he can be there with her.  The job there in China doesn't pay well and when they were there last Graham could work on the side. That isn't proving possible this time. So they are more than strapped.

The flights to Capetown and back are paid for but they need living expenses for about 7-8 weeks as well as the deductible for the surgery.  The total is $3,000 (US)
