Selah's Journey to Hear
Donation protected
After months of extensive testing, MRIs, and every hearing test imaginable (including two different surgical Auditory Brain Stem Response tests), 11-month-old Selah Lyle of Lexington has been diagnosed with Bilateral Profound Sensorineural Hearing Loss. Essentially, this means she has absolutely no hearing or complete deafness in both ears.
Selah has been approved for bilateral cochlear implants, the first of which will take place September 30th at MUSC in Charleston. If all goes as planned, the initial implant will be activated on October 18th. Pending a successful outcome, the second surgical implant will take place October 25th with activation to follow mid-November.
Scott and Jessica Lyle covet your prayers first of all, but would also appreciate any financial support you feel led to provide. Funds raised will help cover the mounting costs of current and future medical bills, as well as upcoming travel and therapy expenses.
Thanks in advance for joining us on Selah's Journey to Hear!
