Help Second Chance Strays Save Cats

I am committed to providing rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming for all cats through Second Chance Strays. To date (5/5/26), I have saved 232 cats since the end of 2024. I believe every cat deserves a second chance at finding a loving home, and I work tirelessly to make that happen. Over the years, I have welcomed countless cats into my care, each with their own story and need for compassion.

Right now, the biggest needs are urgent dental work for several cats. Many require extensive procedures, and these visits are a significant expense for the rescue. In addition, new faces are constantly coming into the rescue, needing to be tested, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. These ongoing medical expenses are essential to keeping the cats healthy and ready for adoption, but they add up quickly and can be overwhelming for a small, independent rescue.

Cats like those in the pictures (Clover, Teddy, Sulky and many others) are just a few of the lucky ones. Some have come through the doors so severely sick or injured that I was unable to save them. Help came too late for them.

The medical expenses are high when trying to save sick and/or injured cats.

Having the medical costs covered would allow me to continue providing the everyday care and expenses needed to keep all the cats healthy. It means I can focus on their well-being without worrying about how to pay for extreme medical cases. The cat overpopulation across the county is not just a rescue problem—it is a community problem. It takes all of us, as one powerful village, to each do our part in trying to get ahead of this issue. Spaying and neutering cats—your cats, the stray cats, all of the cats that are not altered—is crucial. This not only prevents future litters from being born but also deters fighting within colonies, which leads to the spread of injuries and diseases. Your support will help Second Chance Strays continue its mission and make a real difference for cats in need.
