Stop the War Scotland: Help Fund the Movement!

Dear Supporters,

It is now over a year since the start of the horrific genocide of the people Gaza.

The Israeli military, backed by the US, has committed unspeakable crimes against the Palestinians, however the involvement of our own government must not be understated. From manufacturing arms in our weapons factories, to ignoring the rulings of the ICJ, our government continues to aid, fund and facilitate the one of the worst crimes we have seen in our lifetimes.

Our Stop the War activists in Scotland have been working tirelessly to build a strong anti-imperialist voice in the country. We must be able to continue to build our movement here in Scotland. Will you be part of it?

Stop the War Coalition is a UK-wide non-profit organisation which has been campaigning tirelessly for the last twenty years against war, and against the brutal and illegal 16-year Israeli occupation of Gaza. What's more, Stop the War acts as an opposition against our own governments involvement in overseas wars, and its "squandering of public resources on militarism ."

As the horrific genocide in Palestine (and now Lebanon) intensifies, it is more important than ever that we organise ourselves both nationally and locally. Along with other anti-war, anti-racism and anti-imperialist organisations, we are putting together demonstrations and educational events across Scotland in support of Palestine.

We have watched in utter disbelief as our prime-minister Keir Starmer has come out in full support of these atrocities, with no regard for the lives of the Palestinian people or international law.

What the Israeli government is doing, in "collectively punishing" the Palestinians, is not only illegal, it is a crime against humanity. It is blatant genocide. We cannot allow the violence of apartheid and occupation to continue. Not in our names.

It is imperative that right now that we mobilise as an anti-war movement, and raise our voices against the most unspeakable horrors of colonial occupation and genocide that we are witnessing.

Over the course of this year we have called for countless protests, organised activist meetings and worked with trade unions across Scotland and the UK in order to grow the anti-imperialist movement.

We must make our message of solidarity with the Palestinian people louder and clearer than ever. But in order for us to do this, we need your help!
