The Scot D Baker Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Scot D Baker went home to be with the Lord suddenly, on February 22, 2016 from the disease of addiction. The greatest loss in life is the loss of a child. No parent ever plans to bury their child. Children are Gods ultimate gift of love. There is no way a parent can ever prepare for such heartache.  Scot's love for life was contagious to all who knew him. With his loving kind free spirit, he always made his friends and family laugh. Scot was a Son, Brother and Friend to many. In honor of Scot, this Go-Fund-Me page is being set up to help support Scot's Family with funeral expenses. Scot's Family was his biggest advocate. In Scot's loving memory the family continues to raise awareness with help and support into the community. No one knows the struggle parents go through on a daily basis having children who battle addiction. The Baker family supported their son Scot with unconditional love through a system that continues to fail in our society. Becky and Paul Baker share with many public speaking events the daily battle families face with loved ones who suffer from addiction. They bring awareness and much needed support not only for those struggling in addiction but the families as well. Changes that include education and alleviation of the stigma in this huge opiate epidemic.   A support group  for those who have lost children, loved ones to addictions and suicide.  Declaring  August 31st  National Overdose Awareness Day in our city Rochester N.Y.  Becky Baker founding a non for profit group S.O.A.R.S  helping ,supporting those in addiction find their way to recovery.   All funds raised above will go back into the community to support in this epidemic. People do not choose to become addicted to any substance.   All donations above funeral expenses will be applied towards S.O.A.R.S  "Substance Overdose Awareness Recovery Services"  in our community  Rochester NY.
