Thank you, for your interest in The School of Send. This is my greatest passion project and it’s incredibly exciting to see it start to come to fruition. The big-dreaming kid that was working in a gear shop three years ago would have had a hard time imagining the positivity and stoke that’s spreading so far and wide.
As you can see from the video and the brand-new logo, we’re starting to put together some marketing materials (shoutout to Fred and Maddie). At the same time, a ton of behind-the-scenes logistical work is starting to come together.
That said, there are two major holes in the grand master plan: a van and a registration program.
I’ve practically set Craigslist as my homepage and I won’t even tell you how much time I spend scouring state-wide listings for the perfect 12-15 person van. When I find the right one, I’ll plan to weld a bike rack for it, emblazon the outside with my logo, and otherwise make it the perfect shuttle vehicle.
And as for the registration program, I have my sights set on a few solid options. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that a great program makes a huge difference when it comes to keeping people organized and informed—it eliminates a lot of headaches!
I truly appreciate anything you’re willing to give to make this community dream become a reality. When it all comes down to it, it’s about the kids. Only they can carry the stoke torch and improve their self confidence, self awareness, and understanding of what it means to be a team member and a community member.
