Voix Noire- feeding and housing Black MaGes

Founded by Creighton Leigh Voix Noire  is an online reparation-based organization that provides a safe space for Black women, marginalized genders, and children to seek and receive assistance via reparations from non-Black individuals. The goal is to address every request for aid from vetted applicants with immediacy and without unnecessary administrative process that can act as barriers to recipients. We give directly to the most vulnerable with no red tape. 

Food scarcity disproportionally affects Black communities and the COVID-19 crisis is compounding this critical lack of access. Already facing intense food scarcity in their communities, COVID-19 puts people at risk of starving in their homes. Voix Noire has been providing direct aid since 2016 and in this time has distributed $250,000.00 to over 800 individuals and families. Since the COVID-19 pandemic stay-at-home orders and resulting unemployment and limited access to community-based services, requests for support have increased by 70 percent yet, donations have only increased by 30%.

I am grieving the loss of my father. I would like to take a break and Voix must remain a stop-gap.
