We are trying to raise money for Riot's surgery. Riot is not doing well. As you may know, Riot is about 2 1/2 years old and over the last month or so has gotten really sick. She is dealing with a very serious condition called Chylothorax, it’s where milky, fatty lymphatic fluid (chyle) leaks into the chest cavity, making it hard for her to breathe due to lung compression and she is in need of urgent surgery. We have already spent $3,600 trying to determine what’s wrong and drain fluids from her chest and now need to keep draining her every 2 weeks to help her breathing. The next steps are a CT scan as well as surgery in hopes to get her back to her normal self. Fluids are leaking into her chest faster than before and without a CT scan we are unable to determine where really the exact issue is. We adopted Riot about 2 years ago from a kill shelter in LA, this issue is extremely rare for a dog of her age. Surgery is her only hope. She is the happiest and most lovable dog we could have ever asked for. She has been nothing short of a blessing into our lives. This issue seems to be getting worse and we are forced to take further action. We understand everyone has their own personal battles and adversities in their lives but if anyone can help us fix our baby girl we are extremely grateful for all donations, recommendations and prayers. We have been quoted about $10,000 for a CT scan and surgery. Any help at all is extremely appreciated. We can’t imagine doing anything other than fighting for her every step of the way.
