Dom Started rapidly loosing weight, stopped eating, and started vomiting anything he tried to eat/drink. The vomiting and lethargy started on a Saturday and all of our local vet clinics were closed, and I do not have the money to take him to the emergency room. Working as a vet tech in my prior job for about 10 years I know how important fluids are to an animal, so with the direction of a veterinarian that had called me back but was unable to see him, we started administering sub Q fluids (fluids administered under the skin). Monday morning Dom was dropped off at Vista Larga Animal Hospital in Edgewood NM (1-[phone redacted]) where they started his diagnosis with blood-work and fluids. Dr. Coleman diagnosed him with a foreign body that needed to be removed with an emergency surgery. This foreign body was a bottle cap. Dr. Coleman did the surgery and has allowed us to make payments but I am needing a little help with the bill.
I don't ever ask for much and I always help my community when I can. Since I have been working for animal control (2 1/2 months) I have scheduled and transported 98 animals to Santa Fe so that our citizens could have their animals spayed/neutered and vaccinated for free. Created a Trap/neuter/release program for the homeless cats in our town, and I have gathered blankets and other materials to make dog beds that we will be donating to other local shelters and rescue groups. I know Christmas is close and I hate to ask, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
You can also call the vet clinic and make a payment through them Vista Larga Animal Hospital 1-[phone redacted]. Let them know it is for "Dominic" Lenderman.
Thank you so much in advance!
