Help Save Mike Austin

Hi, we're Kathy and Sharon, and we're reaching out on behalf of our dear friend Mike Austin. Mike is currently facing an aggressive form of prostate cancer, and he urgently needs our help.

Mike lives in South Carolina, while we’re based in Massachusetts, but distance hasn’t changed our deep connection or our determination to support him. Every dollar raised through this fundraiser will go directly toward his medical care and related expenses.

Mike was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2019. With strength and determination, he underwent radiation and hormone therapy, which kept the cancer at bay for several years. But recently, Mike received heartbreaking news: the cancer has returned in a much more aggressive form and demands immediate treatment.

The good news is that there is still hope. Mike qualifies for a highly successful, FDA-approved treatment called High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) — a cutting-edge procedure that offers new possibilities for patients like him. However, his insurance won’t cover the $15,000 cost, putting this life-saving treatment out of reach.

That’s why we’ve launched the Save Mike Fund, with the goal of raising $15,500 by June 15th. This amount will cover the procedure and related medical expenses. Time is critical, and your support can make the difference between hope and heartbreak.
