Please help Tatyana's LEG operation
On August 4th, 2015 our friend Anton and his girlfriend Tatiana Vorotilina was involved in a motor accident. Tatiana is a 23 year old tennis coach from Ukraine. The accident happened in Bangkok whereby their motorbike was hit by a truck. Tatiana's right leg got caught in the wheel of the truck and suffered severe injuries. The skin from her right knee down was pulled open until the ankle with flesh torn apart, fractured bones and the whole heel missing. A few days ago 2 of her toes were removed and now the doctor says the 3rd one will most likely get cut off.
Tatiana lost a lot of blood group A- or RH- which A Negative is very hard to find in Asia.

At first Tatiana was hospitalised at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, 9th Floor, Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Musatorn and all the nurses gave Tatiana the best care and treated her like their own family but due to it being a private hospital, between August 4-14, the total bill came out to be Baht 1,364,608.69
Tatiana did not have travel insurance nor life insurance and her family back in Ukraine do not have money to pay for the hospital bill. We are currently waiting to get the results from the police for the CCTV footage to see who is at fault in the accident in order to make the correct insurance claim.
Even though Samitivej Hospital knew that we are having difficulty to pay the bill, they have still taken very good care of Tatiana. Currently we still owe them ฿1,049,608.69 or $29,770.
The accounting department have been very understanding and allowed us to pay in instalments which we are grateful for (we are still negotiating with the management for a discount).
On August 14th, 2015 Tatiana's friends and Samitivej Srinakarin decided to move her to the government hospital in order to reduce the expense as it will be a long recovery.
Tatiana is under a lot of pain every time she is being taken from one ward to another for surgery. She is also traumatised with the fact that she stands 50/50 chance of loosing her leg which means that she would not play or be tennis coach again.

We would like to take this opportunity to urge anyone travelling abroad to buy the travel insurance. Also it should be made compulsory for all foreigners coming to Thailand to have insurance so that they would be protected until they go back to their home town.
