Rosco's Medical Fund
Hello everyone,
We are trying to raise money for Rosco's medical bills. He has had a tough life in his short four years. Having been returned to the shelter twice and lived on the streets for some time beforr he was picked up by a rescue shelter where we adopted him two years ago. In May of this year, he developed an autoimmune disease to which he nearly lost his vision. His vision loss is only secondary to his body basically killing itself from the inside due to an autoimmune disease. Over the past week, we noticed a tremendous drop in his behavior; he wasn't eating and began vomiting and having diarrhea. The things that seemed to make him happy no longer excited him to the point where he could no longer walk let alone lift up his head. He is currently in the hospital again for a surgery to remove his spleen that had ruptured causing internal bleeding. His spleen was as long as a football and as wide as a cantaloupe. We were told that if the surgeons did not operate immediately, his chances of surviving on his own were non-existent. So far he has undergone chemo treatment, multiple blood transfusions and the removal of his spleen to stabilize him. He's also needed many medications, hospital stays, multiple blood work, radiographs, ultrasounds, biopsy and specialist visits. His weight has dropped and his energy is extremely low. We are asking for any donations you are willing to give us to help pay for his costly medical expenses. We know everyone has their own personal issues, but even $5 goes a long way. Every little bit helps. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
