HELP SAVE RIVER FOR JASMINE

My dear young 19 year friend, Jasmine Johnston, began her first year of college in 2017. To pay for Jasmine’s college education she barrel races with her beautiful horse, KN Big Rivers. She is a freshman at Wharton County Junior College where she actively participates on the rodeo team. She has a full ride scholarship for this team. She has been riding horses and barrel racing since preteen.
Early last week her family saw River bucking in their field. They ran to her as fast as they could to find she had run through a barbed wire fence. She was rushed to the Waller equine where for hours, they cleaned and stitched the wounds to the best of their ability. Rivers flexor muscle in her left shoulder is cut in half. Not much of this muscle could be saved. This muscle is what helps control the leg when a horse tries to walk. The picture above is after treatment, day one. Rivers may not fully recover to compete in the competition arena where she and Jasmine have won many rodeos together. They are a great team and the love between the two is evident.
Rodeo is not a hobby to Jasmine's family; it is a lifestyle. River has approximately a three week stay at the Waller equine in ICU. During this time her family is searching for another horse for Jasmine to ride for rodeo in January 2018 when her college rodeo continues. River will remain with the family whether she is able to compete or not, she is part of the family; she is loved.
Equine bills are already close to $10,000. Jasmine currently does not have a horse to compete with in her college rodeo that resumes in January. Her barrel racing money pays for her college education. A new horse is estimated to cost $25,000.
This is a young lady that wants to better herself through education. She is responsible and loves animals. She participates in their daily grooming, exercise and feeding in all regards. Please help me raise money to care for River or to help buy a new horse to help her continue to pay for her college education. If you have a barrel racing horse to donate please contact me!
