My brother's dog Luna was stolen and he was heartbroken! That dog was truly his best friend. Devastated is an understatement! Then he was gifted Penny, a cute playful puppy who didn't replace Luna but instead helped heal Nick's grief. Penny is so playful and loving! Penny started showing signs of illness so Nick brought her to the vet and they diagnosed her with parvo. Penny's condition has worsened and she needed to be hospitalized; but we cannot afford these bills on our own, we just weren't prepared for this because we took all the steps to get her vaccinated and keep her healthy! They are asking for in between 5000 and 7200 to treat her or she will not survive. Certain breeds like Pitbulls, German shepherds, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers, and Springer spaniels can get parvo even if they're vaccinated, and there is currently a huge parvo outbreak in the St Paul and metro area. I will attach a photo of the message from the vet. I appreciate any effort to help; even if it's pointing us in a direction where we can get assistance.
