Emergency Exploratory Surgery- Toby

I can't believe it, but Toby passed away about an hour ago. He waited until I got there and I had him in my arms, told him how much I loved him and then Toby took his last breathe and is now hopefully in a better place. Atleast I got to say goodbye to my baby boy. Thank you so much to everyone for the donations and all of thr positive energy and support. I'm very luck to have so many loving people in my life. An hour ago, Toby started having seizures due to his low Sodium levels and Myelinolysis (which neurological issue that can cause permanent brain damage), his electrolyte balance is out of control, and said there is a 50/50 shot of making it. She told me that they successfully placed the jugular catheter and have him on Dextrose fluids & a Procalamine treatment along with Steriods, Pain meds, & Valium. The doctor said that right now I shouldn't make any durastic decisions and recommended to move forward with treatment. But with the nuerological issues, if he does flatline, that I should change my CPR to a DNR. Most people have children, well these are my kids and the family u have is falling into shambles over him being sick and not at home with us. Toby is only 2 1/2 years old and is my entire life. My heart is breaking and my anxiety is at an all time high. My cat Touper is running around the house looking for him & my Golden Theodore is completely depressed without him here and won't even eat. And his foster sister Karma won't stop crying. Please keep my baby boy in your thoughts and prayers. I don't know what I'll do if I lose him. __________________________________________ You know it's the holidays when you end up at the emergency vet! This time it's my own personal dog. Right now, my poor baby boy Toby is being rushed into emergency exploratory surgery. He was so sick & lethargic that I had to carry all 135 lbs of him into the vet's office. The doctor's are very concerned and said that he digested 3 large objects that have caused major blockage, massive inflammation, & they are worried that his intestines are tangled. The second they asked if I wanted CPR or DNR I completely lost it. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but right now I financially can't afford a surgery that costs up to $2,540.78. I'm so busy trying to rescue and save all of these dogs in need and have invested every penny I have into them. I've made so many sacrifices to be a hero to all of these helpless animals, but I can't even be a hero to my own dog. So I'm going to swallow my pride and ask for help.
