In February, 2025, my mom, Geri, was admitted to the hospital for a cardiac condition. After five major surgical procedures, my mom became septic from a bedsore she developed during 9-1/2 weeks of substandard care at Munson Hospitals. The sepsis took her life Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.
From the time mom became ill until now, my *brother* has harassed me, bullied me, made all kinds of horrible accusations against me, blamed me for our mother's care, blamed me for the doctors not calling him, blamed me for mom not eating enough and, eventually, blaming me for our mother's death (in far more graphic and specific terms).

One of my *brother's* first emails to me following my mom's passing: *Why did [you] kill mom?*

In the mean time, my *brother* has obtained an attorney to further harass me and take our mother's entire estate. So far, they have had more success than most outside observers thought possible. Thanks to you, friends and family, I finally have first-rate, legal representation of my own. Without my top-notch attorney, I fear I would have lost everything, even the assets my mother specifically assigned in writing by legal means. In order to continue affording my attorney, I must raise a minimum of $15,000.
During the over nine-and-a-half weeks my mom was hospitalized, my *brother* visited her exactly twice. He lives in Saginaw, about an hour further from the hospital than I do. He could have visited our mother any time and checked on her condition and the quality of her care. Apparently, it is easier to sit in Saginaw and order me to do everything -- Which I did, not because of my *brother's* orders, but for my mom.
Friends, I need your ongoing help. I fear if I fail to continue defending myself against my *brother's* legal shenanigans, I could lose everything. I need to have the resources to find a place to live for myself and our four, 4-legged family members -- Two dogs and two cats. I promised my mom I would find a place for all of us, and that I would not re-home any of the four -- Daisy, Lily, Sage, and Rose.
With mom gone, every household expense is my responsibility, leaving nothing for the legal battle with my *brother.* I would be grateful for any help you could offer. Thank you and God bless!
