It’s time to give back. In this case: to THE GORILLA ORGANIZATION. Having had a difficult financial upbringing, struggling, and sometimes accepting money from teachers to eat during college. I still managed to get myself through university but ended up with over 100.000 in student debt. That I overcame by working hard, saving and being frugal. Together with Chris Zadeh, I wrote a Forbes book (Monkey Money Mind) about that journey and wanted to give back: all proceeds of the book sales go to charity: The Gorilla Organization. But I feel I can do more... Did you know that in the 60’s there were only 250 gorillas left? Not only their habitat was threatened, but people were paying money to have a gorilla hand as an ashtray. These beautiful animals were being killed for 20 USD per hand...The Gorilla Organization is a registered charity that does not have a big office in a western country, they focus on getting the money directly there where it is needed. Not only do they protect the gorilla, they focus on sustainable farming, education women & girls and rehabilitating poachers. Every donation counts and has a big impact. The organization is chaired by Ian Redmond. He was a research assistant for Dian Fossey. Rings a bell? He helped advise on the Gorillas in the Mist movie featuring Sigourney Weaver about Dian’s life protecting gorillas. He also travelled with Sir David Attenborough to visit the gorillas. Please note that everything you donate will go to The Gorilla Organization. Remember: extinction is for ever. Let’s try everything we can to prevent it! Thank you.
