Emergency Fundraiser for COBA
Donation protected
Dear friends and allies,
Please check on our latest news by clicking 'updates'.
The Collective of Black Artists (COBA), based in the Regent Park neighbourhood, has been part of the Toronto's arts and culture scene for over 20 years.
Please HELP to SAVE this vital Toronto Black Cultural Institution!
We need $30,000 to cover the rent and operations in the Daniel Spectrum Studio Space.
EVERY contribution that is made (no matter the amount) will make an impact!
COBA’s mission is to preserve and promote the cultural traditions of Africa and the African diaspora through research, education and performance. The collective teaches and presents traditional West African dance, music and folklore; Caribbean indigenous folk dance, music and rituals in their purest forms possible for the theatrical stage; and contemporary work developed from an Africanist movement aesthetic.
COBA does its best to keep classes affordable for the community. They cannot do this without financial help.
Every dollar that is donated will go towards keeping COBA affordable and accessible.
Please help us reach our fundraising goals!
COBA is too important to Toronto's cultural scene to lose!
