My name is Larry Jones, and I’m raising funds to support my brother, Brad Maiden, who was recently diagnosed with extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive blood cancer affecting his nasal cavity and voice box.

The one thing that is clearly on my mind is the fact that the sincerity of cancer and the devastation that it leaves behind is not really known until it hits home.

Since his diagnosis, Brad’s life and ours has been drastically turned upside down. This aggressive disease has rapidly progressed, causing paralysis of his vocal cords and requiring urgent, specialized medical treatments including chemotherapy, radiation, and a feeding tube. The emotional and financial toll on our family has been overwhelming.

Brad is an old soul with a passion for classic rock, history, adventure novels and lively debates. He is a loving, strong-hearted, and intelligent person who has always followed his interests deeply and thoughtfully.
