Hi everyone,

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. Our sweet girl, Lilah, has been diagnosed with a tumor on her spleen the size of a melon that requires surgical removal. We can’t confirm whether it’s benign or malignant until it’s been removed and tested through biopsy. Regardless whether it is benign or malignant, the tumor must be removed as it is life threatening. Currently, in the best case scenario, with prayers, that it is not malignant, the estimated cost for her surgery and recovery is roughly around $9,000. I’m reaching out because I can’t do this alone.

As you all know, Lilah isn’t just a dog — she’s family. Since the day Ace and I brought her home, we knew she was the missing piece to our family. Our fur baby was part of every family function, vacation, and adventure. Lilah has been a part of our lives for so many wonderful years. She’s been my heart, my comfort, and my constant companion through everything life has thrown our way. When Ace passed, both Lilah and I were lost. We leaned on each other to make it through that pain. She has been my emotional support, my reason to smile, and my reminder that love never really leaves us.

If you know us, you know how attached Ace and Lilah were — she was his shadow, his playmate, his peace. Losing him was so hard, but Lilah helped me keep going when I didn’t think I could. And now, she needs me — she needs us — to help her get through this fight.

If you know me, you know I’ve always made sure Lilah has had everything she needs, no matter the cost. I’ve done everything I can to take care of her and have spent everything I reasonably could on her exams, scans, and treatments up to this point. But now, facing this surgery, I’ve reached my limit, and I’m humbly asking for a little help to give her the fighting chance she deserves.
