Help Me Save My Ph.D. – I’m Struggling Alone to Survive

Hello,

My name is Faisal Hayat, and I’m a dedicated Ph.D. student in Biological Sciences at Tennessee State University.

I never imagined I’d have to write something like this — but today, I’m reaching out with a humble and urgent request.

Although I receive a small stipend through a research assistantship, I must still pay very high tuition fees out of pocket. Recently, my wife joined me on an F-2 visa, which legally prevents her from working. Now, I am the only one supporting our household, covering rent, food, healthcare, and education costs — all on my limited income.

I’m at a breaking point. I’m falling behind on tuition, and I fear I may lose everything I’ve worked so hard for. I feel overwhelmed, isolated, and emotionally exhausted — but I’m not giving up.
