Help Century Massage stay in business

Our small business, Century Massage, has been adversely affected by the pandemic, and we are asking for some financial assistance to make sure it survives the next few winter months. We have been in the Evergreen Building since 2005 after moving from the Century Plaza (where the business name came from) when it was just a 1-therapist clinic. Everything started out in a small, 1-room office in the basement of the Evergreen Building and has gradually grown to a 6-room executive office on the second floor. The move out of the basement was prompted by a major flooding that happened end of June, just two months after our soft re-opening of the clinic. The forced move to the second floor took less than a week, 2 days really, with me (Lyn), Marianne (wife), and Timothy (son) working through our Fourth of July weekend moving refrigerator, desks, cabinets, files, books, shelvings, etc.. The move to the second floor’s executive offices also meant a huge increase in rent. Being on the second floor does have its perks, drawing many new clients in. We have been accepting an average of 4 to 6 new clients a week since mid-October! Most came in because Century Massage LMTs were conveniently available or were highly recommended to provide post-op manual lymphatic drainage. Thankfully, our fourth quarter earnings in 2020 helped our annual earning to grow to 78% compared to 2019, but this was in part due to Marianne and I (Lyn) working 7 days a week. We did our best, and it paid off. Working 7 days a week is not sustainable, so Marianne and I are asking for some financial help to get us through the next 3 to 6 months. If you are in the Renton area or nearby towns, we would love it if you set up an appointment with us by calling or texting us at [phone redacted]. Century Massage was created by me (Lyn) right after graduating from massage school at Renton Technical College in 1999. Now, with Marianne as co-owner; Timothy helping out whenever we need heavy lifting done; Darby holding down the front desk; with the rest of our massage staff (Robert Watts, Jessica Malyevac, and Gwen Denton) providing massage therapy and giving front desk assistance; and we have been COVID-free throughout 2020. Already 5 of our staff members are fully vaccinated. We are doing our best to continue to persist and thrive with your help. We are resilient. Thank you.
